Development Economics Charts

Jim Riley

22nd February 2009

A resource that I make regular use of is the Daily Chart on the Economist website.

On a fairly regular basis there are charts directly related to development economics. I either get them up on the board to provide material for class based discussion or I create a handout that students can keep in their folder and use to help fill their answers with lots of real world examples. For instance Friday’s chart was on deglobalisation and is one that I will use in my lessons tomorrow.

I have attached one of the handouts I have used with one of my classes.
