BUSS4 Exam Technique: Decisions, Decisions...How to Choose an Essay

BUSS4 students have a difficult decision when choosing which essay to answer from the two options in Section A (research theme) and the three in Section B. I have devised a list of questions that students can use to help with this difficult decision:

• Are you clear on the 2 sides of the argument in the question/the key debate?

• Do you have strong arguments on each side that you can develop?

• Can you use business theory and models to support your point?

• Do you have business examples and evidence to support your analysis?

• Are you familiar with the businesses or industries mentioned in the question?

• Can you make a clear judgement and justify it with examples and evidence?

The idea then is to choose the essay with the most yes answers!!
