CSR - Meet ISO 26000 - the new standard for social responsibility

Did you know that there is now a standard that firms and other organisations can use to evaluate their CSR activities and performance? It is ISO 26000. Details here including some useful FAQs relevant to AQA BUSS4 in relation to the role of governments in influencing CSR.

According to the ISO, this standard (which is not mandatory or certifiable):

“provides harmonized, globally relevant guidance for private and public sector organizations of all types based on international consensus among expert representatives of the main stakeholder groups, and so encourage the implementation of best practice in social responsibility worldwide”
