The session programme for our popular AQA A Level Business Grade Booster workshops being run ahead of the June 2017 exam papers is outlined below.

Session Programme

Session One: Grab ALL the Marks in MCQs and Short-Answer Questions (SAQs)

  • MCQs on models / theories
  • Handling MCQs with quantitative skills
  • SAQs – how to structure Level 3 responses
  • PeCAN: paragraph structure for questions requiring contextualised analysis

Session Two: Success with Data Response in Paper 2

  • Making the most of charts and data tables in responses
  • Contextual analysis – effective strategy for the mini case study 9-markers
  • How to structure responses for the 16-mark and 20-mark questions

Session Three: Nail the Two 25 Mark Essays in Paper 1

  • Understanding and responding to the essay question hooks and context
  • Time management and planning strategies to save time
  • Effective paragraph structure to demonstrate depth & range of knowledge, understanding, and analysis applied to the context
  • The essay conclusion – how to answer the question, build on prior analysis and demonstrate balance

Afternoon Session: Finish Strongly in Paper 3

  • Identifying the key features of the source – and how they might be used
  • Embedding case study evidence into each paragraph point
  • Structuring effective responses for the 12/16-mark case study questions
  • How to approach the two Paper 3 essays
  • Planning your final preparation for AQA A Level Business in June 2017
