Amazon's employee share scheme helps to lower their tax bill

Simon Jack's article here is a good clear explanation for why Amazon is paying less tax this year even though revenues continue to grow strongly. Part of the answer is in the staff compensation scheme where each full-time employee is given £1,000 of free shares each year.
