Edexcel AS Politics ExamBuster 2009 - Network Licence
This revision guide has been written and designed by Neil McNaughton and Mike McCartney specifically for the new AS Edexcel syllabus.
The pack contains core material for the early questions, with comprehensive examples throughout. For the later sections of the new AS examinations the guide provides the key arguments necessary to give candidates the toolkit required to construct answers to those questions posed in the exam hall.
In addition, the pack also contains important hints and tips on answer technique based on the past performance of candidates in the Edexcel examinations.
Authors
Neil is former Head of Politics at University College School. He is a senior examiner in AS and A level Politics and has been involved in the development of new specifications for 2008. He has written a number of books on Politics including Understanding British and European Political Issues (MUP, 2003), Political Ideologies (Philip Allan, 2005) and Success in AS Politics (John Murray, 1996, 2000, Hodder Arnold 2005). His new book, Success in AS Politics for Edexcel, 2ed. (Hodder Arnold) was published in Spring, 2008. Until this year he was also editor of Talking Politics. He is currently the editor of Lobby magazine.
Mike is Head of Politics at Forest School, having previously taught at Bradford Grammar School and St Pauls School. Mike is also an experienced examiner and is currently Scrutineer for Edexcels 2008 specifications. Mike has contributed to Talking Politics, was lead author for tutor2us Edexcel AS Politics ExamBuster series for the old specification, and is editor of First Past the Post.
